Rapé

Rapé is medicine of South America peoples, originally used by Amazon tribes for thousands of years. Rapé is a fine powder that is blown into both nostrils with the help of special applicators called Tipi and Kuripi. There are different kinds of Rapé, types of tipi and methods of blowing in, which every time makes the healing experience different from the previous one. Rapé most often includes tobacco, the ash of certain Amazon plants and crushed grains. Apurina is the rarest and most unique variety of Rapé, there is no tobacco in it, and its composition is the secret of the tribe. It is considered to be gold among all varieties of Rapé. Its effect is more harmonizing, while other varieties are meant for healing. Rapé of green color opens the heart, brightens the head and doesn't give such a strong grounding effect as one with tobacco, therefore it's lighter. However, in large quantities, it can also cause a cleaning effect.

Arara

Arara tribe, distinguished by strong traditions of the soldiers, makes their Rapé with a large concentration of tobacco, that's why their Rapé variety has a more bodily, terrestrial effect. From the Arara tribe there are two types of Rapé, with plants Sanu and Xepa.
Rapé with the Sanu plant is distinguished by a sharp and strong effect. Rapé with Xepa plant has a sharp and strong effect. Rapé with Sanu plant has an indole, strong smell.

Huni Kuin

In Huni Kuin tribe (translated "Real People"), also known as Kashinawa, together with tobacco use many different plants. They often apply ground seeds of Angiku and the ashes of Ispansao, which opens the third eye. From the most numerous tribe of Huni Kuin, different varieties come to us, containing such plants as Murici (Byrsonima crassifólia), Mulateiro (Calycophyllum Spruceanum), Cumaru (Dipteryx odorata).
Murici: helps cleanse the energy that is accumulated in the lower abdomen.

Nukini

Nukini tribe is a small community of several villages. This tribe is well known for its respect for a woman in their shamanism history. They use Rapé as well as most other tribes: for clarity, healing, stress, in ceremonies and bathing in the river for purification. Rapé of this tribe is wonderful. People appreciate it for its freshness, purity and good composition. They say that in their Rapé tradition they use two unique plants, which they consider to be their special feature. Shuané and Haianí, both plants haven't been botanically identified yet. Tobacco and Ash (usually Tsunu) are mixed with these two plants to make medicine authentic.

Kuntanawa

Kuntanawa Especial contain ashes of Jarina flower: they say that this beautiful plant makes them invisible to enemies, both spiritual and physical, and helps to keep enemies at bay.

Shanennawa

The Rapé of Shanenava tribe has a sweetish flavor, a lighter color and gives more state of inspiration and lightness, from it the effect of gravity in the body.

Shawandawa

Rapé of the Shawandawa tribe is a good basic variety, in most cases it is made from tobacco and Ash Tsun, is intended for healing.

Yawanawa

Yawanawa tribe is dominated by a female shamaness. Rapé in this tribe is strong enough and normally it is prepared from only two plants: dust of dried on a full moon tobacco and the smallest ash of Tsunu tree bark (ashes of Palperero Pereira tree). Methods for blowing Rapé in and their Power

Rapé ritual is always performed with the help of tube applicators Tipi and Kuripi.
Curipi is an autoapplicator, thanks to which Rapé can be blown to yourself by placing one end of the tube in the nostril, making an exhalation to the other end of the tube.
Tipi is a paired applicator, is used in the ritual where power and knowledge are transferred. This is radically different from self-application and very much depends on the person who blows, the purity of his consciousness, thoughts, personal strength.

First of all, to blow in Rapé you need the inner mood (state of prayer, meditation), concentration and intention. Among the main types of blowing there are, for example:
Breath of the Anaconda (Zhiboy): one of the most common and used methods, has a strong purifying effect and transmits the strength of the forest. It starts gently and intensifies at the end of the exhalation, blocking the air channel with the tongue, with a wheezing sound at the output.

Almescar

Almescar, also known as Almesegas, Breu Branco is a resin with a pleasant and fresh smell, which is produced by a tree trunk, scientifically known as Protium hepytaphyllum. This tree, which grows in the Amazon forest, belongs to the Burseraceae family, which also includes Imburana.
The tree naturally produces this resin through the trunk when it has been somehow damaged in the forest. The resin acts as a protective mechanism against fungal, bacteria and infections.
Using the resin allows to fumigate spaces, it renews energy, cleanses bacteria and creates a pleasant aroma in the house. Can be heated on charcoal.

The incredibly beautiful Ant Tree (Pau D`Arco, Ipe Roxo) is a large deciduous plant distinguished by abundant purple flowering. Tabebuia serratifolia is considered medicinal and valuable in it is the inner bark. It contains vitamins C, B1, B2, a large amount of beta-carotene, niacin, zinc, copper, calcium, cobalt, chromium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, selenium, silicon, iron, anthraquinone, proteins, fats, fiber. But the most important is considered lapacho, which inhibits the growth of tumor cells. This Cerrado plant (closed-type Brazilian Savanna) is known for its incredible healing properties in treating painful disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Scientific name Miconia albicans, belongs to the Melastomataceae family. It is a shrub with a thin stem from 0.70 to 3 meters high. Its oval dense leaves serve as raw material for medicinal tincture used in the treatment of various inflammations and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

The main active components of the plant are flavonoids and triterpene compounds (oleanolic acid and ursolic acid). This endows the Canela preparation with excellent therapeutic properties: Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic, Antimicrobial, Antitumor, Hepatoprotective, Antioxidant, Antimutagenic, Stimulates the gastrointestinal tract, Natural aphrodisiac.

The main application of Canela de Velho has been in the treatment of arthrosis and osteoarthritis. Analgesic properties eliminate pain and swelling of joints, and anti-inflammatory components also accelerate the restoration of cartilage and bone tissue. Jatoba is a majestic tree, originating from the Amazon and the Brazilian Atlantic forest. The height of the tree reaches from 15 to 30 meters, and the thickness of its trunk can exceed one meter in diameter. Its flowers have whitish color, and the fruits have an oblong form of pods (similar to legumes) and a reddish-brown bark. Seeds in fruits are covered with pale yellow flesh, mealy, sticky and sweet to taste. Scientific name is Hymenaea courbaril, tree juice has medicinal properties, and fruits are used as food. American Indians use it in traditional medicine and national cuisine. Indians use fumigation with resin (copal) as a remedy for rheumatism, juice against lung diseases and fungal diseases. Indians like to chew the resin, sticky and hard copal is well softened by heat.

Jatoba Tree Juice

In Brazil, Jatoba juice is used to prevent a number of diseases such as acne, anemia, arthritis, asthma, mycosis, bladder problems, bronchitis, bursitis, candida, catarrh, colic, cough, chronic or acute cystitis, dysentery, diarrhea, dyspepsia, fever, fungal infections, hemorrhoids, blood in the urine, hemoptysis, hepatitis, flatulence, laryngitis, lung problems, local pain, prostate problems, skin problems, stomach pains, tuberculosis, urethral inflammation, urinary incontinence or retention, parasites, ulcers in the mouth.
